A MESSADE FROM D.W.
What's up Heistfans!
All is good for The Heist right now. 7 YEARS is kicking ass and is still at the top of the Alternative charts (#1 for 3 weeks straight) and for the 4th week in a row is still in the top40! The Triple J net 50 result was much better this week, up to #21, thanks to you guys! So keep up the good work and lets see if we can get an even higher position this weekend!
Me and the boys have been flat out in the rehearsal room out at Fetah's farm getting the new songs all sorted for the final phase of the new album. We have 5 new tracks, "Liberate", "I'm Not God", "Drilling The Void", "Last Chance" and "Stars And Stripes" (working title). All of them are totally awesome new additions and we start recording them on Monday the 24th of June at Backbeach studio in Rye and then mixing at Sing Sing in Richmond the following week.
Gotta say we're looking forward to getting up to Bega for the Rock in Recess show! That's gonna be heaps of fun and congratulations to the winners!
Keep rockin and talk up the Heist to all your mates!

A MESSADE FROM D.W.
Hope everyone is diggin' our new single and we're stoked with the response it has been getting on the radio, T.V. and in the charts! And it's all thanks to you lot! It feels great to have the #1 Alternative single and be so well entrenched in the Top40. It's our first Top40 single and we couldn't be happier.
Me and the boys have just had a week off for the first time in a long while and next week we head back into the studio to record 5 more songs for the new album. We are so happy with the way the new songs sound and we can't wait for everyone to hear them and head out on the road again to play some kick-arse shows.
Thanks to everyone who has voted for us on the net 50, super request and Channel (V). Lets see if we can get as many people as possible to vote this week and see if we can get into the top 10 on the net 50! Lets all put in a big effort and see if we can kick some goals! Seems we've been slipping a bit and it would be awesome to get back up there.
Thanks again Heist fans and keep up the good work!

Superheist gig review - The Annandale Hotel May 18th, 2002
Tonight was the first time I had ever seen a barrier inside the Annandale Hotel. It wasn't necessarily required, however it certainly provided a physical warning of the intensity of performance we were destined to see with this Melbourne triple whammy bill.
Superheist aren't doing anything that hasn't been done before, but fuck, they do it better than almost anybody else. Yes, I'm talking to you American bands as well. I saw Incubus & System Of A Down earlier in the year, & I tell you, Superheist would have blown them off stage (& I loved both those shows too). The Heist bring a determined enthusiasm to the stage, an energy & desire to be the best in the World that shines through in their performance. New vocalist Joey Biro is absolutely outstanding: he told me in an interview he wanted to be the World's best, and the boy's well on his way. The entire band refused to let the energy drop for a second, and right down to the last song (no encore), they were beating their instruments like a drunken father with noisy kids. If you haven't seen Superheist yet, I recommend you do before you're paying $50 to get into an Entertainment Centre show.
Craig New - Revolver.
